Acme Giveaway Contest #8 – Signed Matt Groening Silk Screen Print!

Thanks to everyone who entered the contest – our winner is @pierebel – congratulations!  Since we had so many entries, we decided to give away some runner up prizes – congrats to Christopher Lee (from Facebook) and thomas rollins (from the comments).  We have a couple shiny new lithos for you!

This week’s giveway (co-presented by @gotfuturama) is for a silk screen print of “Metal Menace” signed by Futurama (and Simpsons) creator Matt Groening and Bongo Comics co-founder and creative director Bill Morrison. Sold in blind packs, this 300 piece edition has only 25 signed pieces signed by Matt Groening available randomly throughout the edition.  We took a peek at a couple and found one signed for our giveway plus we had the added bonus of Bill Morrison coming by our office to add his signature to the piece.

    Matt Groening is a pretty cool guy. I’ve been watching old Simpsons episodes and it’s fun to see hints of Futurama to come in certain episodes, such as when Burns is running around with his head in a jar and a robot body.
